Webhook of the week
I started Hookalu for a few reasons. One is that I can’t help myself when it comes to bringing new software ideas to life. Another is my love of highly scalable and critical foundation platforms and services that delight customers. And the most recent is my excitement for event-driven serverless solutions. I saw an opportunity to solve a number of problems many developers face when integrating webhooks.
As part of this journey, I’ve been very busy connecting sources of webhook requests from every corner of the Internet. Webhooks are an awesome concept, but not an actual standard. This has been the source of both its greatest strengths and its greatest weaknesses. I realized that my discoveries on this journey might be worth sharing.
I’ll be posting short webhook development stories at least once a week that I’m calling Webhook of the week. These will cover my experiences and challenges in developing a new Hookalu integration for a specific webhook source.
These stories might help others struggling to get webhooks working for a particular source. I also hope it tells a bigger story of how widespread and wonderful webhooks really are. Maybe you’ll also find that Hookalu can help solve some of your own webhook challenges.
